An Applicant who holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from a recognised institution imparting Architectural Education including foreign qualifications officially considered equivalent & has been engaged in Practice / Education of Architecture in a responsible position for a period of at least 14 years, and has, in the opinion of the Council made a significant contribution towards the advancement of Architecture and has attained the age of 36 years.
An Applicant who is an Associate member of the Institute and has been engaged for at least 7 years in Practice / Education of Architecture in a responsible position after qualifying as an Associate and has attained the age of 36 years.
An Applicant who holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from a recognised institution imparting Architectural Education including foreign qualifications officially considered equivalent.
All students from Schools of Architecture doing B. Arch program or Diploma in Architecture approved by the Council of Architecture can become student members of IIA
All students from Polytechniques doing Diploma in Architecture/ Architectural Assistantship approved by the respective State Directorates of Technical Education can become student members of IIA
The Institutions can send a formal communication to IIA HO for formation of IIA Student Centre by submitting the Application Performa through the Chapter Chairperson. On getting the concurrence from IIA HO, the process of forming the Centre can be initiated. Once formed the centre can be inaugurated. One of the IIA Office Bearers/Chapter Chairperson/Centre Chairperson as available and convenient can be invited for the inauguration.
The Institutions can become affiliated members by filling an application form as provided in the annexure to this document, submitting documents as listed out and paying the membership fee.
